Darryls strength is truely an inspiration to all of us,
like the saying goes, What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
and your son is a prime example of that.

Just writing to say that I often read the updates you post about Darryl Mike. Darryl I can see that you are a real fighter – keep it up.

Mike I read the article you posted today. The doctors aren’t always right. Many people have recovered from injury and illness when, according to the doctors, they should not have. I work with young children and I have seen many instances where the gut instinct of the parent is often more accurate than that of the professionals(doctors and teachers included). Keep hold of it Mike and don’t let them take it from you.

I’ll keep praying and hoping for you all that things will return to normal as soon as possible.

Fishing didn’t go to well. Caught 3 kahawai in the first half hour and then nothing for the next 4 hours. Very slow day on the harbour. Benny took home the fish to turn it into his delicious raw fish. Lots of boats about though. The fishing should improve next week with the new moon phase.

Mowed your lawn again today and watered the garden. Some tomatoes are starting to ripen up.

Weather is fine but cool.

It has been fantastic to read the posts over the last week and monitor your progress. There is never been any doubt that you would fight your way back to some form of normality – what ever that is! It’s been a bit on the nippy side up here, mind you I had my feet in the water fishing Taupo Bay last night and I was surprised to feel how warm the water is. Ryon had lots of fun winding in a few fishless baits on the penn – believe me that takes a long time when you are 2 years old and ones father has to have a fair bit of patience. All good though for him as he learned that he had to keep his fingers out of the spinning bale arm, even if he couldnt wind in a fish!

Hang in there Mike and Family – It very easy to for us to say and we can all sense your frutration. We are all with you guys on this and still sending all of our thoughts and postive energy down there for Darryl to use. You are all doing a awesome job and your absolute best by Darryl. Thanks for sharing his progress and your thoughts via this site and taking the time to keep us all informed. Go the chiefs……..
